One of the main food sources of the Spotted Eagle Ray is small fish. They have a longer tail than most Manta Rays and although they are shy, they are dangerous because they contain 2–6 venomous spines near their pelvic fins. A distinctive feature of the spotted Eagle Ray is that their snout is like a duck bill, they have a white underside and striking white spots against a deep blue or black disc-shaped body on top.
