Dreaming is best described as the beliefs, religion or law of Aboriginal people within Australia. It is also the time where the Ancestor Beings created all the river ways, mountains and streams within Australia in the very beginning of time, often depicted in Aboriginal Dreamtime stories. These stories often describe the ways and laws of the land for the people that belong to a particular area which is called tribe within the map of Aboriginal Australia, this allowed them to understand boundaries between men and women & the various stages of life. The area Mirree was born in is called: Wiradjuri Tribe, NSW Australia. Before the beginning of human life, the Dreaming ancestors traveled all around the countryside creating all natural things such as landforms, places, rivers, plants and people. They also created the rituals, designs, songs and ceremonies that are part of Aboriginal culture today, they are believed to exist simultaneously in the past, present and future. The Dreamtime for Mirree is a place where she goes to contemplate life, putting together all lessons of life, into visual perspectives to create teachings for future generations to come. Life can be complex and like a huge jigsaw, these teachings/stories will offer guidance, clarity and a sense of awakening & understanding of life, the stories that Mirree will share with others.Mirrees gift is her visual creations through her paintings and teachings of the Dreamtime, she wishes to share this gift with you all.     Print comes with  story postcard of the "DREAMTIME TURTLE"  “My paintings come from a feeling inside that I can see. When moving forward we need to make room for something new, this allows a letting go to take place but this is not always an easy thing to do. Because we think that this is all that we have left of a person or place which moved us inside, but little do we know that it is this learning that enables us to carry our evolution forward to the next opportunity.
If we can remember to keep re-building from our past mistakes and nurture this process with patience we can build something new which is far more compatible with our beliefs.

Beaver is about moving towards this stability which is rooted in the feminine energy contained within the elements of water and earth, combined with sun, moon and stars. Ultimately this energy is universal, a feeling which makes us bare our soul, makes us vulnerable to feelings and elements  which have often caused us to feel hurt or even betrayed. But in doing this we can feel safe in nature, our soul is reflected in the light coming from the moon when we gaze the water edge.

Delve into the future by taking some time to understand these feelings within you, so that the letting go can occur and fill them with the power of Beaver to help you fill this void, like the movement of a current which empties and then fills back up…allow yourself to be present during this cycle/change of life. The Emu was my Uncle’s Totem, he and my Dad use to make Quinine an Ancient Australian Aboriginal Bush Medicine that we use to drink as kids, boiled from the bark of the tree. In this painting is the Quinine Berries which are on the female plants and the Paper Star Flowers. We must learn to respect and pass on the ways of our culture through the proper initiations. Flowers Flowers give us hope and give us something to hang onto. When I was a little girl I went through a lot of horrendous experiences and then a miracle accoured which was carried on a message of a flower which I saw come back to life after being dead right in front of my very eyes.It was a magical experience and one I almost forgot until I got older and began to remember again. So, flowers can be highly beneficial to the healing process or journey you may be going through at the time. We can forget so many memories and experiences from when we were young because of our day-to-day busy lives that symbolic and colourful paintings with sacred messages and symbols from nature can awaken us to, reminding and connecting us to the purity of our soul and the guidance that comes from within, just dying to come out.Coolamon Coolamon is a traditional wooden vessel which has been carved from a tree and used to hold babies, collect berries and bush medicine or used in ceremonies.Often the different markings or symbols represented who the Coolamon belonged to.Clap Sticks Clap Sticks are a traditional instrument used to make rhythm played by women and men during songs and ceremony.
