You are on the threshold of a major life change which will reveal a new way of life to you. You need to surrender to what was in order to allow yourself a smooth transition. You are surrendering yourself now to the fire and the ash of the old ways, and letting it burn because you will soon we born from this smoke. The heart from the most pure spirit is born and will contain the elements from earth, living and breathing the breath of life, one with the heart beat of mother earth. Snake-Head Turtle is a small turtle that resides in Wiradjuri Country where I live, you usually see them crossing the road a lot as they travel from swamp to swamp to gather fresh water and food supplies. A lot unfortunately do not survive due to this. Fortunately I have seen one in it's natural habitat swimming around, this painting captures that memory and movement in it's habitat swimming in the water freely. I added the lotuses in as another version such as the other one listed here, as I recently took a visit to India and was inspired by the colours and flowers of the country. Although I've used flowers such as the lotus before in my paintings previously, such as Brolga, I thought the lotuses in the water animal paintings represents universal connection and unity.
Pricing reflects the amount of dot work involved although the sizing of these canvases are the same, price determines the amount of work put in, related to the dot work which takes up a lot of time.

The Dreamcatcher
The Dreamcatcher has been a traditional symbol of the Native Americans and is based on wisdom of the spirit world. The hole in the centre is where all the good spirits can pass through, the bad ones get captured and trapped in the web to disappear on mornings 1st light. The good dreams get filtered down through the hole, trickling down to the feathers to ensure they reach the owners dreams.

When I was a little girl I went through a lot of horrendous experiences and then a miracle accoured which was carried on a message of a flower which I saw come back to life after being dead right in front of my very eyes. It was a magical experience and one I almost forgot until I got older and began to remember again. So, flowers can be highly beneficial to the healing process or journey you may be going through at the time.
