The designer Mirree's paintings draws her inspiration from her Aboriginal heritage. Raised in the Central West of NSW region, her paintings reflect her spiritual connection with the Central West of NSW in Wiradjuri country.

Pink Galah is a large brightly coloured pink Parrot that resides in Wiradjuri Country where Mirree lives, you usually recognize them from their screeching sound or by seeing them in large flocks especially during dusk and dawn to gather fresh water and food supplies. This painting captures that memory and movement in it's habitat nesting freely in their favorite trees. 
Although Mirree has used flowers before in her paintings previously, such as Brolga and a variety of other birds, the flowers represent hope and healing for the future generations and those who are struggling to see the best in life and humanity. The gum Flower is a native flower belonging to Australia and is most often seen in country in a variety of colours.
