'Purple Copperwing Butterfly with Blackthorn Blossoming Flower'"Purple Copperwing" or another name which is the "Bathurst Copperwing Butterfly" is a very rare and beautiful butterfly that exists in very specific conditions, surviving above sea level attitudes of 900m and above.These Butterflies are an Endangered Species and are under threat. They belong to the Bathurst & Lithgow regions of the Central west of NSW. It feeds off its natural food source of Blackthorn and is mainly active during the months from August to November and seen during the full light of the day from the sun.Butterfly always reminds us of the delicate nature of life and how at any given moment we can be going through life's ups or downs.
