Willie Wagtail ~ Rising from the Ashes 

The Willie Wagtail story was given to me by Aboriginal Artist Wayne Krause back in 2003 when I was at a Cultural camp in exchange for one of my paintings.
It was told that the Willie Wagtail received it’s markings because he got burnt from the fire, having risen from the ashes.

This is the Universal story I want to share, which is about the dying to everything that ever was in your life up until this point. You are on the threshold of a major life change which will reveal a new way of life to you. You need to surrender to what was in order to allow yourself a smooth transition. You are surrendering yourself now to the fire and the ash of the old ways, and letting it burn because you will soon we born from this smoke. The heart from the most pure spirit is born and will contain the elements from earth, living and breathing the breath of life, one with the heart beat of mother earth. This is the message of the Willie Wagtail. If you see the Willie Wagtail front on: a surprise is in store for you, if you see it with it’s back to you: stay away it is trying to tell you something important, so listen.
