Mirree is a Contemporary Aboriginal Artist from Wiradjuri country from the Central West of NSW, Australia. With her father being Aboriginal and mother with a Eurpoean background she studied for many years to find her own unique style. Before the age of 17 (before she found her love of painting) she was a dancer for many years and studied to become a professional dancer and then she gave up dancing to become a self-taught Flute player which she was invited to tour internationally, it wasn’t her calling so she continued to play and study the flute for many years.
After this time she found her calling to become a pencil Artist after a destructive childhood before taking up painting since she was a teenager; she wishes to share her gift of painting & story telling to the world.

Art History
Over the years Mirree has exhibited in over 40 Art exhibitions here in Australia and around the World, she gained recognition from the US by being 1 of the chosen out of 100 to exhibit in an International Art show in NYC called the “The Creatives Rising”, which was featured on the ABC radio.
She was able to raise enough money from her Artworks to exhibit another 2 times, again in NYC and the other in Miami Beach.

Inspiration
Mirree draws inspiration from nature, a lot of what she puts into her paintings have been experiences that she has felt within nature. She spends time in nature to listen deeply to messages from nature and puts them into her paintings, a lot of what Mirree experiences is unique because she is an autistic artist so a lot of what she learns is through her high range of creativity.

Technique
The process to Mirree’s paintings involves sketching in an Art journal before transferring it onto the canvas, but there are times also that the artwork will be painted spontaneous.
People are captivated by Mirree’s paintings because of the use of bright colours, movement and intricate details she captures within her artworks, this with the energy of nature is what makes them come alive. This depth of feeling can only be found in a genuine Original Painting by Mirree.
