    We have a responsibility to listen to our Elders for advice on our spiritual journey as Aboriginal people. The eyes in the trees are the ancestors and elders watching over us and the actions that we take, they are always watching what we do, whether it is right or wrong. This knowledge comes through the Ancestors and Elders. The Golden Serpent of the Land in the middle of the painting symbolises the ways of the land and the magic of this knowledge, through the messages from the Elders and the birds we can begin to understand their ways.
