They belong to the Bathurst & Lithgow regions of the Central west of NSW. It feeds off its natural food source of Blackthorn and is mainly active during the months from August to November and seen during the full light of the day from the sun.Butterfly always reminds us of the delicate nature of life and how at any given moment we can be going through life's ups or downs. In order to bring something that contains the purity of nature alive, it 1st must be nurtured. The light of the sun comes up in the morning and goes down in the evening, but when the light shines upon us and all the conditions are right, you will know when to step outside again. Most of them that are left in the wild are believed to be in the NT and Central Australia areas.March to May is their breeding times so Easter marks the beginning of their breeding season where you will find them at night time foraging for food such as bulbs, seeds, fruits, termites and fungi.
