'Dugong Dreaming with Baby' ~ Ancient Secrets'
Dugong is a marine mammal, which are related to elephants and inspired the myth of the mermaid.
This painting contains: Dugong, Star Fish, Sea Grasses, as it ventures on the sandy floor to bring the many unknown places within you to the surface.
Dugong is also nicknamed: SeaCow and their natural food source is seagrasses which they feed off from the bottom of the sea floor, they are currently in a vulnerable state. Dugongs live to the age of 70 years old, usually they like to feed in large numbers but due to limited food supplies they often are seen in pairs.
Dugongs do not have any known predators due to their size other than sharks, etc which like to feed off their young.
Australia has the largest population of dugongs.
